Forster Dive

Grey nurse sharks, jewfish, bull rays and turtles. Welcome to NUDES' next dive destination: Forster. 

The weekend will include: two boat dives off Forster, a pasta dinner, air fills, a campfire, marshmallows, breakfast, camp site hire and transport. We will need 3 drivers for the trip so if you have a car and are willing to drive that would be great! You will be reimbursed for fuel.

Day 1: We will set off from NUDES gear store at 8:00am on Saturday. After getting to Seal Rocks (where our accommodation is) and setting up camp we will go for a snorkel at Statis Rock. After the snorkel, we will head back to camp for a BBQ, campfire, marshmallows and good times.

Day 2 :The divers will get up early and head to Forster for our two boat dives. Meanwhile, the snorkellers will go for another snorkel at Statis Island at Seal Rocks. After both the snorkel and dives have finished, and we have all had too many good times, we will pack up our gear, fill our air and head back to NUDES.

How the dives will work: The Advanced Divers will first dive Pinnacle, which is a quality dive site between 20-40 metres. The Open Water's will then do another lower depth dive close to Pinnacle and finally both the Advanced and Open Waters will do a final dive together. 

Gear: Please make sure you come into the gear store on either Tuesday 11th (between 5:30-6:30 pm) or Friday 14th (between 4-5 pm) to get gear for the trip. It's essential.

• YOUR DIVING CERTIFICATION CARD

Note that the above list is just a guide, and you may find there are other items that you require when camping, etc. Please consider that storage space in vehicles can be tight, so be thoughtful with your packing. 

If you don’t have a tent or sleeping bag consider joining the mountaineering club or buying one cheaply from kmart. Please come into the gear store during opening hours on Tuesday 11th or Friday 14th to hire gear for the trip. You can leave the equipment at the gear store.

Please make sure that you bring your diving certification card, so you don't miss out on dives.
